ufc season 2 winner
While the UFC certainly has grown talent with the addition of many fighters from the Pride Fighting Championships, the welterweight division has always CFU was responsible for talent.
Therefore, the choice of the five best fighters in the division is not an easy task. In fact, when the current welterweight champion UFC comes in third in five out of my league, you can see how decisions are difficult. I will do my best.
5. Jon Fitch is the number 5 on my list UFC welterweight higher. While the UFC marketing machine has been busy promoting Diego Sanchez and Josh Koscheck, Jon Fitch has been built slowly, what is the best record in the welterweight division. In fact, Fitch has not been the same since 2002. He has beaten Luigi Fioravanti, Thiago Alves, Josh Burkman, Jeff Joslin and Shonie Carter en route to his current struggle of thirteen consecutive victories. Unfortunately, Fitch has yet to fight one of the fighters in our top 4, something that will be corrected in the UFC 76, when it meets our battle # 4, Diego Sanchez.
4. Diego Sanchez has a record almost perfect blend of martial art. He's gone 20 wins with one loss. That defeat came at the hands of Josh Koscheck at UFC 69. Diego with health problems at the time, proved to be a staph infection in his leg, and probably not fight for their potential. Victories over Nick Diaz, Karo Parisyan, Joe Riggs and Kenny Florian put Diego near the large class of 170 pounds.
3. Matt Serra the current UFC welterweight Kingpin. He earned his crown by defeating Georges St. Pierre at UFC 69. Not only defeated Georges St-Pierre, but humiliated him with a KO in the first round. This is the first After Serra has been very aggressive, effective striking in the Octagon, I hope this continues. One thing that Serra has shown is brilliant Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He used these skills in WINS Chris Lytle, Yves Edwards and loss-making about "The" Prodigy BJ Penn and Din Thomas.
2. Matt Hughes is former UFC welterweight champion. He lost his belt to Georges St-Pierre, but not before having the opportunity to build earns more Goerges St Piere, Sean Sherk, Frank Trigg, BJ Penn, Carlos Newton and another MMA legend you've heard May, Royce Gracie.
1. Georges St-Pierre lost both # 2 and # 3 ranked fighters on this list, so how can I justify George's # 1? Call it intuition, call it favoritism, I do not know, but I know is that Georges St-Pierre is the best welterweight fighter in the UFC. George not only has wins over Frank Trigg and Sean Sherk, but dominant, a pact is reached. While Matt Hughes struggled with these guys before, Georges just steam rolled. The same goes for his second fight with Hughes where St Peter is impressive and the withdrawal of the defense made a game form above. San Pedro BJ Penn has also defeated in a close decision, Karo Parisyan and George recently surprised the community by fighting in MMA in Josh Koscheck en route to a decisive victory. George is back up and ready to face the winner of Hughes vs Serra.
Matt Hughes and Matt Serra to fight after the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter "reality Team Hughes vs. Team Serra "show. I think that Georges St-Pierre will face the winner of this fight. The truth is that with a talent as deep as the welterweight division UFC one of 6 or 7 best fighters in the division (add in Karo and Josh) could beat any other on any given night. That makes every fight in this division exciting!
