ufc recent signings
It seems fitting with UFC 77 right around the corner, with Rich Franklin current conflict middleweight champion Anderson Silva UFC to give my top 5 rankings now middleweight.
The middleweight division in UFC is probably the lowest in all of UFC. At least that I mean that is a blank Cup champion, clearing a second, then everyone is much lower. Mixed Martial Arts has come a long way in a very short time, so things can change overnight. Let's start with the classification.
5. Chris Leben, I think most MMA fans would not have Chris Leben in the top 5 middleweight division of the UFC, but Leben is coming off a stunning come from behind to win a Terry Martin very difficult and resulted in a decision loss in close collaboration with Kalib Starnes. Personally I think the fight Starnes was a draw or even a narrow victory Leben.
All that was recently impressed with Leben is their running game. While not the level of Jason MacDonald or Travis Lutter yet, but is defended well and even tried some communications in the Starnes fight. Clearly, after his loss to Silva MacDonald Chris Leben is returned to the drawing board and made some real improvements in their game.
4. Jason MacDonald had a real return before I met Rich "Ace" Franklin. He had back to back victories over the final fighters Ed Herman and Chris Leben won two fights by submission. MacDonald had a bit ago, when was recently agreed to dethrone the champion Rich Franklin. This struggle has shown how big of a gap in the UFC middleweight division, but Macdonald is taking all with calm and a recent victory at UFC 72 in Rory Singer shows that the "Athlete" is back on track. Jason MacDonald is Yushin Okami at UFC 77, probably to see who will face the winner of Anderson Silva and Rich Franklin.
3. Yushin Okami and Jason MacDonald Both face Rich Franklin, but neither party champion Anderson Silva half. From Okami was beaten less than Franklin McDonald made, I give it the # 3. I think that if Okami had committed earlier in the fight, would be the decision Franklin.
2. Rich Franklin is defintely worthy of its status as No. 2. He won the third and fourth best fighters in the division and deserves his rematch title against Anderson Silva. Until Smith arrived at the scene, it seemed that Rich Franklin would remain above the mountain of average weight for a while. Franklin received hands beat Silva and I am curious to see what improvements he made to his game or strategy of revenge.
1. Anderson Silva is the best in the UFC, maybe the best the world. Real MMA fans like to see a match between Matt Lindland and Anderson Silva to decide the best Medium MMA, but no fighting since Lindland in the UFC Anderson Silva have in the supreme title. His dominant performance against Chris Leben, Rich Franklin, Travis Lutter and Nate Marquardt recently the royal domain. In fact, in his last 4 fights he in the second set and they represent just 10 minutes time of global struggle.
Anderson Silva is very comfortable throwing punches from all angles. Not afraid of being dropped from so you can take great risks to launch flight knees and other high-profile attacks. This kind of struggle that allows both keep Anderson in or near the top of the division average weight for a while. Fans like to see the great strikes and there is nothing more satisfying than a KO.
That completes the top 5 UFC middleweight. It's time to start working in the best heavyweight in the UFC 5 but with the departure of Randy Couture and the recent signing M-1 Fedor Emelianenko, who could be a real task.
