The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is the most popular of the promotion of Mixed Martial Arts Matches in the U.S.. He promoted pay-per-View from 1993.

* Medium (171 – 185 lbs). The current champion Rich Franklin. Main contenders are Anderson Silva, David Loiseau and Mike Swick.
* Welterweight (156 – € 170). The current champion Matt Hughes. Main contenders include BJ Penn, George St. Pierre and Diego Sanchez.
* Lightweight (146 – 155 lbs). The title is currently vacant. The main ones are Kenny Florian and Sean Sherk.

The Hall of Fame UFC with four Hall of Fame: Royce Gracie (who has won three of the first four tournaments), Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn and Randy Couture (the two men to win a title in two categories weight).

Many recent success was rejected by UFC The Ultimate Fighter, a reality show on Spike TV. The production features 16 relatively unknown fighters (eight for each of two weight classes) living in a house and being trained by existing stars of the UFC, with weekly eliminations decided to fight the public vote. The last two wrestlers in each division compete in a special live broadcast with the winner getting a contract with the UFC. The first season was marked by fierce rivalry between Josh Koscheck and Chris Leben, and a brutal final between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar. Last season two differences for the first time the competition is open to the Former UFC competitors, and the price is guaranteed a shot at the title against the champion of the cause.
