MMA – a delicate balance between brutality and skill

The martial arts originating in need. People had to defend themselves against humans and animals and the only weapons they had were their hands and feet. The battles waged by these people to survive without belts or plastic Trophy tournament. When life and death struggle against the old warrior had the status of your body to receive the brutal physical punishment lavished on their opponents. He also had to spawn in the battle to minimize physical harm to himself.

Martial Arts graduate in the west and were taught by instructors trained in the "old school" system hardening of the body by exposing the brutal training that included a large number of visitors during combat. I personally witnessed this at the age of 14 years when I took my first karate class in the Dominican Republic. Students, regardless of rank, have been beaten mercilessly, with no training in how block or simply by the shape of a ferocious attack. Make no mistake, these fighters were hit hard and could take, but at what price?

It is not brutality in many sports, especially martial arts. We have seen the injuries, deaths and the effects long-term abuse on the body in football, boxing, hockey and karate. And if the professional level in any sport, the competition is so good is impossible to avoid the brutality, I must say I am very impressed by many UFC fighters!

Physical training, they get through they can take strikes kill an ordinary man. So impressed I am with physical training, mental and spiritual need to enter the octagon, I'm surprised its ability to prevent brutality. How is that more than 18 years of any MMA These combatants are seriously injured or die? This is because these fighters have formed their bodies, but may be moving away to avoid slips and have tremendous opportunity and potential for block.

Martial Arts MMA fighters have provided training to balance. Not only are strong and conditioned athletes, but also technical admirable specialized in the arts of combat. That is the essence of the martial arts. This is what separates a martial artist of a street fight.

So if you want be a fighter, build your body up, because it is inevitable that you hit and you need to take it. But do not count in your body (or face) to absorb all abuse. Avoid kicked and punched in the head at any price; Move block, slip, fall, fight smarter! This will keep you in the sport anymore, and you not going to end up like Muhammad Ali when he retires!
